AWARDS

  • American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 2006 Honorable Mention Award for Rock Springs Road Emergency Re-opening Project

Severe flooding in January 2005 destroyed Rock Springs Road crossing the Mojave River.  The roadway was a low-flow style crossing with eight CMP culverts to allow the river flow to pass through the road.  With Rock Springs Road washed away, the nearest crossing is four miles downstream from Rock Springs, causing major detours for residents.  With emergency funding, the San Bernardino County DPW selected AEI-CASC to prepare PS&E within four weeks.  AEI-CASC prepared the Plans, Specifications, and Construction Cost Estimate for over 800 feet of new reinforced concrete roadway with concrete slope protection and three celled 14’W by 5’H box culverts crossing over the Mojave River within the demanding timeframe and within the County’s estimated construction budget.

  • Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) 2005 Best Management Practices Implementation Project of the Year

AEI-CASC designed the Best Management Practices and provided engineering design services for this 35-acre Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) project in the City of Chino. AEI-CASC is responsible for preparing the on-site 100-year and 10-year hydrology study for the project site including the drainage design and precise grading plans.  Additionally, AEI-CASC prepared and is currently processing the LEED Report pertaining to Credit SS.CO6.1 and SS.CO6.2 as outlined in the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Manual.
